Ephesians 4:14 (NASB) 14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;
Emotions are great, and God gave them to use to use. Some of our best and worst life experiences are reflected in our emotions. The birth of a child can bring forth great happiness and joy to parents, relatives, and friends. The death of a loved one can bring about feelings of sadness or even regret for things said or done. Yes emotions are a part of our lives and should be there to enhance the life that God has given us. However, what happens when we allow those emotions to rule over our lives?
When we allow our emotions to rule our live we become subjugated to every sway of our feelings. Our ability to move beyond a moment in time becomes almost impossible. We must not act out on our feelings and grow up spiritually so that we can live a full life. Hopefully as we mature we learn to put our emotions in their place and begin to walk by faith and not by sight.
